Dr Iman Aba Hussein
Dr Iman Aba Hussein is a consultant psychiatrist, graduating from the Faculty of Medicine in 2000 where she specialised in psychiatry and obtained the Saudi Specialty Certificate in psychiatry in 2004.
Before joining Priory Wellbeing Centre in Riyadh, Iman has worked at the University Medical City Hospital of King Saud University. Her work involved psychiatric clinics, inpatient and emergency wards, where she has treated diverse psychological conditions. Iman has vast experience and interest in women's mental health, such as anxiety and depression during pregnancy, postpartum depression, premenstrual and postmenopausal psychological disorders.
Iman was interested in keeping up with the latest clinical recommendations based on scientific evidence for the treatment of her patients, and previously established the Clinical Recommendations Committee in the Department of Psychiatry at King Saud University. This focuses on adopting and implementing the latest clinical recommendations, and their suitability for the Saudi society. Iman was also appointed Chair of the Service Quality Committee and was passionate about applying the highest international quality standards in services provided to psychiatric patients.
Since 2020, Iman worked as a faculty member at the Faculty of Medicine at Imam Muhammad bin Saud University, teaching and training students of the faculty the psychiatry curriculum. During her practical and scientific career, Iman taught and trained many students and doctors, presented many educational courses and lectures, and contributed to a number of scientific research in the field of psychiatry.
